JoCo Fair

I was on call this weekend for the hospital but thanks to one of my co-workers, I was able to have 8 hours free on Saturday to enjoy a fun outing with my boys!

I knew that the Johnson County Fair was going on & being a 4-H kid myself growing up I spent many summers being part of our county fair up in South Dakota. So I really wanted to take Mason & show him what the fair was all about!

Once we arrived, we made our way over to the livestock barns to check out all the animals first! We saw all the beef cattle & then made our way over to the pigs where we got to pet them & watch them eat watermelon which Mase thought was hilarious!

  Next stop was the goats...

Then we made our way over to the barn that had the bunnies & had so much fun petting their soft little ears!

After we made our way through all the livestock barns, we headed over to the carnival area. The next couple of hours were spent eating yummy fair food (funnel cakes, sno-cones, fresh squeezed lemonade - just to name a few) & Mase rode all the toddler rides.

He had so much fun on the motorcyles & cars!

Even though it was extremely hot outside & we were all covered in sweat, we had a great time & are looking forward to coming back next year!!
